DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

Introduction:

The Department of Economics has been established in 1998, with the opening of the college. The subject is offered to the disciplines of Arts and Commerce. It is introduced as a special subject for the students of Arts and as a compulsory subject to the discipline of Commerce. Keeping in mind the importance of economic literacy, the aims of the subject are the following.

Objectives:

  1. Develop the sense of responsibility and morality among the students
  2. Understand the changing economic scenario
  3. Know the flux in the economic policies of the nation as well as the individual
  4. Create the economic literacy among the students
  5. Plan and manage the financial situations in the life
  6. Scrutinize and assess the global market in terms of economic policies
