DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND MANAGEMENT
R. B. Madkholkar Mahavidyalaya, Chandgad is one of the reputed colleges in Chandgad Tahashil and Kolhapur District too. It is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It is run by Khedut Shikshan Mandal founded by Shri R.B. Madkholkar and his colleagues. The college has been contributing a lot in educational sphere since its establishment. The Department of Commerce and Management is established in 1998. It offers three years integrated undergraduate programme course in commerce stream. It offers Industrial Management and Accountancy as optional subject at B.Com. Part-III Level along with Economics, Modern Management Practices, Cooperative Development and Business Regulatory Frame work as compulsory subject. In addition to the regular B.Com degree, department also run one year Certificate Course in Insurance under the scheme of Career Oriented Course funded by UGC New Delhi. The department is planning to start new subject like e-Commerce. The department has highly qualified, experienced, enthusiastic and devoted faculty, using ICT based innovative practices to make the teaching – learning process more effective. In the last decade, the department has shown an exponential growth in the student strength. Department have a well equipped computer technology i.e., LCD Projector and Seminar Hall. From June, 2011, the semester system has been applied in the department under academic flexibility. Almost every year our student shows an outstanding performance in examination as well as extra co-curricular activities. The department has to its credit a large number of alumni consisting of academicians, professionals, executives, administrators, leaders, businessmen and industrialists.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
The department is fulfilling necessary class rooms along with administrative office. It is sound with latest ICT instruments like LCD projector, Laptop, wi-fi connectivity e-depository and official equipments
